Meg’s Class: Term 4 Week 2
Hi everyone,
This week in maths, we continued to build our understanding of BODMAS and enjoyed the challenge of adding and subtracting fractions.
We had our first Drama session with Bec and have been developing our characters as we continue to bring our play to life.
Inspired by the origins of pickleball, the children were challenged to create their own game or sport using equipment from the sports shed. It was fantastic to see their creativity in action as they worked collaboratively to invent and test some very fun activities.
We also continued our Growing and Glowing unit. I have uploaded the resources and slides from our lesson to the class drive to support any questions or discussions that might arise at home.
Looking ahead to next week, we have swimming on Tuesday. Swimming is part of our learning program, and all children are expected to participate. If your child has any concerns, please encourage them to speak with me before Tuesday so we can work through these together.
As swimming is our first session of the day, please ensure children arrive wearing their swimming gear and bring clothes to change into afterwards. They will also need a towel, goggles and shoes that are easy to slip on and off and comfortable to walk in.
Finally, a reminder that anyone planning to attend camp or volunteer as a driver must attend our camp information night on Thursday, 5 November.
With love,
Meg
