Extracurricular Activities at Currambena
Creativity, Exploration, and Fun
At Currambena School, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our diverse range of activities encourages students to explore their interests, express their creativity, and develop new skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
A Creative Haven
Our large craft room is a hub of creativity, offering an extensive range of hands-on activities for students to enjoy. From candle making and pottery to textiles and painting, children have the freedom to experiment with different mediums, fostering their imagination and fine motor skills.
Music, Books, and More
We provide a dedicated language room for weekly spanish classes. There is also a music space where students can explore instruments like piano, encouraging creative expression through music. After school classes are offered on site in piano, guitar and drama.
Our small library offers a quiet corner for children to discover books, expand their knowledge, and nurture a love for reading. Classes also go to Lane Cove Library on rotation providing access to a huge collection of books and resources. This is especially helpful when children work on the personal interest projects (PIPs) and can use the library for research.
Staying Active and Adventurous
Physical activity is an important part of life at Currambena. In Terms 1 and 4, students walk to the local swimming pool for weekly swimming lessons and water activities. During Terms 2 and 3, they engage in a variety of sports and activities lead by their teachers from dancing to yoga and bush walks, ensuring they stay active year-round.
At Currambena, every activity is an opportunity for exploration, creativity, and fun, helping our students grow and thrive in all aspects of their development.
