The Ladybirds Week 9 Term 4

Hi everyone,

This week we focused on reflecting on the year and setting our goals for 2026! We talked about what goals are and why they are important. During writing time, the students chose one New Year’s resolution they would like to try next year.

We also had a PDHPE-focused week. We enjoyed our final trip to the pool for the year and completed lessons on personal body boundaries and the importance of teamwork and communication. In one activity, the children tied themselves together and practised moving and climbing as a group, really honing those teamwork and communication skills to complete each task successfully.

There was plenty of crafting happening throughout the week, especially during Summerhill Day on Thursday. A big well done to Benji and Hazel M, who helped their parents run activities. It’s wonderful to see children so eager to share their skills, and their families’ skills, with the community.

Next week is a big three days! Orientation Morning will take place on Monday, followed by our final visit to the library in the afternoon. Tuesday is Beach Day; if you are able to help and haven’t yet signed up to volunteer, please let me know. Wednesday is our last day of school, with a movie day and lots of celebrations planned.

What a year it has been! As this is the final newsletter entry of the year, I want to take a moment to say thank you for all your love and support. I have absolutely adored teaching each and every one of your children. They have all blossomed so much, and it has been a joy to be part of their first year of primary school.

With love,
Meg
