The Ladybirds Week 8 Term 4

Hi everyone,

This week we completed our final weekend recount of the year! It has been so exciting to see the growth in everyone’s writing from the beginning of the year to now. With it being the first week of December, we also began our countdown using the advent calendar we created in Maths. At the end of each day, we reveal the activity of the day, such as dance parties and Mario runs!

On Tuesday, we continued our investigation topic by exploring the question, “What are bones made of?” We learned that our bones are made of collagen and calcium, which help make them both “strong” and “bouncy.” This means they don’t break too easily, but also that we’re not walking around with jelly legs! We then discussed the types of foods that can help our bodies get enough collagen and calcium to keep our bones healthy.

With some super hot days this week, we enjoyed water play and spending time in the shade. As we continue through the term, please ensure your child comes to school wearing sunscreen each day. Please also remember to pack hats and drink bottles.

With love,
Meg
