The Ladybirds Week 8 Term 2
Hello Everyone,
What a busy and exciting week it’s been with Art Week in full swing!
With last week being a short one, we used some time to wrap up lessons from then. In Maths, we completed our unit on measurement, with a special focus on length. The students enjoyed a variety of hands-on investigations around the school, comparing sizes and applying their learning in real-world contexts.
In English, we explored the difference between the letters ‘d’ and ‘b’, a tricky pair for many early writers! The children created helpful posters to remind themselves how to recognise and form each letter correctly.
A special highlight of the week was a visit from Oli’s pet turtle, Gobble, on Wednesday morning. The class had a wonderful time asking questions and getting the chance to gently pat Gobble, it was such a memorable experience!
Art Week was a huge success! Over three days, students worked in mixed-age groups across all classes to create and restore beautiful art projects in preparation for The Social this coming Tuesday.
A reminder: The Social begins at 5:00 PM at Tambourine Bay. Please remember to bring along your child’s lantern, which was sent home with them on Friday.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there and to another fantastic week ahead with the Ladybirds!
With love,
Meg (and Sarah D)
