The Ladybirds Week 4 Term 4

Hi everyone,

It’s been a big and exciting week for the Ladybirds!

We started with our excursion to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. The children had a great time exploring sea creatures and recording their favourites in their Aquarium Adventure Albums. A big thank you to the parents who joined us, your help was truly appreciated.

In Maths, we began learning about multiplication and division by grouping and sharing objects in hands-on activities.

To celebrate Science Week, we explored materials and their properties. After reading What if Rain Boots Were Made of Paper?, the children made a hypothesis and predicted which materials would be waterproof. They tested their ideas and wrote conclusions just like real scientists! In STEM, we created a bubble mixture and discussed how bubbles float. The children then designed their own bubble wands using different materials and showed fantastic creativity and problem-solving. On Friday, they proudly presented their bubble experiment at the school’s Science Expo, sharing their learning with other classes.

Next week is Book Week. Morning reading sessions start at 9:15am, and on Friday, children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character for our Book Parade.

Looking forward to another exciting and busy week!

With love,
Meg
