Amelia’s group week 8 term 4
Hi everyone,
We have enjoyed a lovely week together, staying cool in the aircon as much as possible! A lot of our time this week was spent discussing Kris Kringle and the children giving notes to their secret santa. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm in giving hints about their identity to their secret santa, along with playing detective to try and solve the various clues found in their own envelopes. It is always a joyous way to end the year together and gives the children a final chance to observe a person in their class group closely, and create and choose a gift chosen specially for them.
Next week will be busy with a number of end of year activities. We will be enjoying our last Spanish lesson of the year with a cooking lesson organised by Carolina as always. The children will enjoy their final craft session of the year as well, which also gives them an opportunity to make their Kris Kringle gift if they have not yet. We will also have Summerhill Day on the Thursday, where the children get to sign up to a number of activities organised by the teachers or their peers. We will also have our PIP presentations on Tuesday morning at 9.30am, the first for our juniors! I hope a few of you can come along and see how much work the children have put into their PIPs this term, and the fabulous teamwork and guidance from our elders to their junior peers.
