Wendy’s Group Week 9 Term 3
On Friday, we said goodbye to our student teacher, Loki, with a card and some shared afternoon tea. His geography lessons in the past few weeks beautifully supplemented the mini PIPs each of the children has completed on a country, almost all of which have now been presented. Our usual Term 3 PIP presentations have begun this week too. As always, please discuss with your child whether or not they want you to come in to see theirs next week. We’ll make it possible if we can.
A highlight this week was the debate. Fabulous to see such persuasive skills in operation! Well done to the speakers and also the chairperson, time keeper and adjudicators! The topic “That using social media is a good thing” was hotly debated and won by some very strong arguing from the government! So many skills in evidence from all involved.
Next Tuesday we have our excursion to Ultimate Trampoline Park. Please make sure the waiver is signed and returned to me if it hasn’t been already. We will need to leave at 9:30 to get to Northmead by 10. Children should bring lunch, water bottles and trampoline socks, with grip soles if possible. Should be lots of fun!
Next week will mostly be finishing off some Term 3 topics, PIP presentations and hopefully getting a start on ideas for our end of year play!
Over the holidays, I hope everyone will continue reading as much as possible and maybe even practising times tables!!
Early next term, we’ll have a meeting for parents about camp at Jervis Bay. The dates again are Monday 24th to Friday 28th November.
That’s all for this week!
Cheers,
Wendy
