Wendy’s class Week 6 Term 3

This week in Wendy’s Class we have continued with the usual routine as much as possible; completing textbooks, working on PIPs, Spanish and languages, and practising times tables.  Our student teacher, Meg, has been on top of how things roll in the classroom, and it has been a real team effort with Sarah D, Faith and Archana assisting with different lessons.

Meg taught a lesson on compound sentences and coordinating conjunctions, and we looked at some Australian history, cartography, and learnt about terms such as “terra incognita”.  In maths Sarah D completed number plane emojis and Meg revisited some measurement activities. Fun was had spray painting in craft with the help of Crafty, Vinnie, Matt and a visiting artist, and PE focussed on skipping skills in preparation for Jump Rope for Heart next week.

It has been lovely getting to know the kids better in Wendy’s Class over the last week. I know the children miss Wendy very much and we all wish her a speedy recovery.
