Vinnie’s group Week 3 Term 4

Hi all,

The concert date is fast approaching and our rehearsals are coming along.

The group has been really involved in the collaborative story/script writing process and have created a unique performance piece that is constantly evolving.

We spent this week looking at patterns and more whole number work.

We also learned about Opals and their different types. We researched where they come from and about a place called Cooper Pedy where many people live underground. We used this information to write our persuasive sentences.

The children were keen to do more ‘booklet’ work and I have spent some time making little activity books for the class. These are for children to practise some of the skills learnt over the term and are optional. If they come home unfinished, do not feel like it has to be completed.

A popular game this last week has been Dodgeball. The children have been borrowing the dodgeball from Wendy’s class and playing on the handball court.
