The Purple Hearts Term 3 Week 1
Hi all,
It has been a wonderful first week back at school. The children have loved sharing stories and settling back into our routines at school after a nice break.
This week was a short one, we jumped back into Morning Routine on Thursday, as we spent most of Wednesday sharing holiday news, reconnecting with friends, spending time in the craft room and with Carolina for Spanish.
This week the class spend time learning our new literacy station routines and rotations for the coming term as we begin our weekly reading. The children also voted to learn more about dinosaurs this term.
This coming Thursday 1st of August will be our 100th Day of Learning!
The class has voted to invite parents in to celebrate at 1:30 for afternoon tea.
Could you please let me know if you can bring in some snacks to share for our afternoon tea? Things we would like are snacky, easily shared food, such as cut up fruit/ veg, popcorn etc.
We will set up a 100-step obstacle course and will have some hat decorating activities.
The children’s mid-year reports are underway and will be completed soon. As I finish the reports this coming week, I will set up a timetable as a shared google doc for interviews in week 3 and 4. They will be before and after school from 8-8:30, 3:15-3:45, and 3:50 – 4:20.
