The Ladybirds Week 5 Term 4
Hi everyone,
This week in Maths, we began exploring capacity, a topic we’ll continue to investigate next week.
We also spent some time talking about Remembrance Day. Students reflected on what it means to remember, and why we honour people even after they are no longer with us. We discussed the symbolism of the poppy and why it remains such an important part of Remembrance Day.
On Tuesday afternoon, we enjoyed another trip to the pool. Now that we’re halfway through the term, it’s wonderful to see how much more confident the children have become in the water, especially in the deep end.
Our play rehearsals are well underway, and the craft room is buzzing as we prepare for next Friday’s concert! With so many costumes and props being created, our cardboard supply has become a little depleted. If you have any cardboard boxes or rolls at home, we would greatly appreciate your donations so they can become all sorts of wonderful creations!
A big well-done to Vea and Hazel M, who chaired this week’s school meeting!
It was also lovely to see so many of you at the Lantern Festival. Thank you for coming along and showing your support for our amazing school.
With love,
Meg
