The Ladybirds Week 4 Term 1

This week, we had our very first trip to the Lane Cove Library, and what a wonderful experience it was! The children had a great time exploring all the different books on offer. If you haven’t already secured a library card for your child, please do so as soon as possible. Our next library visit will be in Week 7, and we already have some eager young readers ready to start borrowing books!

In class, we had a productive week building with our new set of Magna-Tiles. The children created farms, high-rise buildings, and castles — sparking plenty of imagination and creativity!

In English, we focused on letters, identifying capital and lowercase letters, and practiced forming letters and writing our names using playdough. In Maths, we had fun practising counting through a modified game of Duck Duck Goose and explored different representations of numbers.

As many of you may have already heard, we’ve been singing the Days of the Week song as part of our morning routine. This will now be put on hold as we move on to our Months of the Year song! Your little ones will soon be ready to perform it for you!
