School Meeting Minutes Week 7 Term 1

Chair people: Ayaan and Ettie (from Jess’s class)

Yellow tape on the decking by Jess and Eden (Eden was away). The school agreed that the vertical tape on the wooden decking steps could be removed to reduce scratches to children’s legs.

Air conditioner in the library by Jess. Please do not turn the heater or air conditioner on in the library. They are only to be used when it is a teaching space like for Spanish or Music as they use a lot of energy. If you notice these appliances are on, please turn them off.

Down syndrome day by Benji. Today is Down syndrome day (crazy sock day). Benji’s little brother has Down syndrome and so today is a particularly special day for him. Wendy’s class will be donating ice-block money to the cause today and will also be collecting extra gold coins for the day. There will be a crazy sock parade after ice-blocks today at 1:00pm on the handball court.

Library books by Keeghan. Lots of Currambena library books have been returned to Lane Cove Library. Please ensure to return books to the correct library.

Taps by Mabel. Mabel has noticed that people aren’t turning the taps off outside Meg’s classroom. Please be aware of this.

Underglazing by Chris. Chris is doing a firing today. There are lots of sculptures that do not have names and these will not be put in unless someone claims them. Please come down to the room to claim your item and ensure they make it into the kiln today.

Sustaining messages:

  • A reminder by Sarah M that there are no library jobs for sustaining today. Please find another job until the new shelves are delivered. New shelves are expected March 29th.

  • Wendy asked if the  children in the sports shed please sort out the skipping ropes.

  • Children noted that many of the sports balls are flat. It was explained that needles and pumps keep breaking. New needles have been bought and the sports shed team should get some traction on pumping them up today.
