Sarah’s Class Week 5 Term 4

Dear Parents,

Thanks to Crafty and friends for re-igniting the Loch Ness Monster for a float on the Harbour. Twas another glorious night to showcase our creative Currambena!

Another lovely but busy week! Rehearsals are really ramping up with the pressure for the concert date just around the corner. We are all getting more excited about the performance and costumes are coming together. Outside of this main focus we have been working our way through our Maths Mentals text book, consolidating a lot of strategies to use when problem solving the four operations. We continue to make our way to the end of our Soundwaves Spelling units and still focus on a new sound each week. We also completed a spelling assessment/quiz where the children were given 70 words to spell. This was something we did in Term 1 so I am looking forward to seeing the development when I have a minute to check and compare the results.

Once again, it was a glorious day for swimming on Tuesday and we practiced long jumps into the deep end of the 50 metre pool and swam lengths.

Next week, we return to Lane Cove Library, so please return all books on Monday.

Looking forward to our concert this coming Friday!

Love, Sarah
