Sarah’s class week 4 Term 4
Dear Parents,
I hope you’ve had a nice weekend. Not a lot to report this week: apart from play practices which are going really, really well, we also finalised our learning on shapes and James (student teacher) gave his first ever lesson on “Chance”. On Tuesday, we went outside and swam in the 50 metre pool. It was such a beautiful morning and it was gorgeous to see all the children make their way, in whatever stroke, all the way up and back. Pepper was with the group on Wednesday and they did some writing, focusing on punctuation and using quotation marks.
Topics chosen for personal interest projects this term are once again varied. They include Judaism, Antarctica, Stars, Coral, Crystals, Tsunamis, Dogs, Feathers, China, Leaves, International Space Station, Clouds, Supercars and Cultures.
A reminder from Crafty that next Friday, 14th is the re-launch of the Loch Ness monster down at Greenwich Sailing club. Lane Cove Council are funding the event, paying for lights and music. They are also providing picnic blankets. The event is open for the wider Lane Cove community but it is an opportunity to showcase how creative we are as a school with Nessie floating on the harbour. So, please bring a picnic, your child’s lantern and come to help support our school. It starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 9:00 PM. Crafty would LOVE some volunteers to help set up, kayak along with Nessie and pack-up at the end.
Don’t forget Monday, 10th Nov (tomorrow) at 10 AM we have our class photo.
That’s it for us!
Love, Sarah
