Sarah’s Class: Week 1 Term 4

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to what will be an exciting but bittersweet term, as this will be Wendy’s final teaching term with us. I’m sure it will be full of mixed emotions. Things we have been doing this week and will continue to do are: concert prep – we have a story AND script AND characters AND music – so we are well on our way. We have a few children who are still working on finishing their scary stories which have been dragging out to get finalised since Term 2. It’s been a process but I am determined all will finish for us to get stories and pictures printed to become a book for all to read. We have also started a new Maths unit on 2D and 3D shapes which is always a fun topic to learn. I love shapes!

In a couple of weeks I will be taking our class elders, along with Jess’s and Wendy’s class, to see a performance by the Indigenous dance group Bangarra. Unfortunately, the performance is not suitable for younger children so my remaining class members will stay at school with Archana. This will be nice for her to return to the school as a fully fledged teacher.

Next week, we start back at swimming, on Tuesday mornings, so please make sure children are at school, on time, and with all their necessary gear.

Short n sweet this week.

Love Sarah
