Sarah’s Class Term 4 Week 1
Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had a nice break.
We’ve kicked off this term running!! Starting this term we now have 2 new children in our class, Stella Gray and Grayson Luijten – WELCOME! They have slotted in beautifully with the rest of the group and it’s like they’ve always been with us. This week, we started looking at our class play for the school concert. I am thrilled to say that we now have a script, and everybody is happy with their character and the developed story. Phew for that! Now we start the task of rehearsing over these coming weeks. Thankfully, we have the lovely Bec coming back to do weekly lessons of drama with all the classes, to help hone those skills at character development and blocking. My group will also be doing a few lessons with Nate but thats all I will say about that.
By now you would have received the first note home about our class camp. There were many questions coming at me during our class meeting this week. So rather than holding off I answered them. I think I have covered everything I needed to say to you at this point in the letter, so I won’t elaborate any more on that topic here.
Next week, we start swimming, so please make sure your child comes to school wearing their swimmers and clothes over the top. They will need a towel, wide-brimmed hat, goggles and sunscreen, if they can’t use the generic one at school. As we did in term 1 we will walk up to the pool in the morning, leaving by about 9:45 am and returning in time for morning tea.
Also this term we will return to Lane Cove library on our rotation with the first of our visits on Monday, 28th Oct.
Please, please, please make sure your child has a wide-brimmed hat they can leave at school with their name written on it. We will be having lots of discussions about sun-safety and the children will be required to have a wide-brimmed hat for camp – not just a cap!
That’s it for the first week guys!
Love, Sarah
