Sarah’s Class: Term 3 Week 8
Dear Parents,
Hoping you’ve had a good week!
I’m just jotting this down quickly (on Thursday) before I head off on my leave. Sarah D has been well briefed to take over the ship for the final stretch with children. This week, as you are aware, we started our project presentations which were absolutely AMAZING! We even had a live bearded dragon visit as part of Tynan and Otto’s project on Lizards. Tynan’s pet lizard “Cooper” came in for a ‘show and tell’ which was really exciting to have him join us. The standard of projects continues to increase each term and the children’s ability and skill to present excels.
Also this week we wrapped up our Maths study on MASS with an assessment task. Sarah D is going to focus on Maths in Art over the next 2 weeks and do some fun activities. We did some creative writing with some fun story starters and completed another unit in our Soundwaves.
Next Monday, will be the last visit to Lane Cove Library for the term so please return all books. And the final round of Pip presentations will be on Wednesday, 16th starting at 1:30 PM.
Sarah D will record the final 2 newsletter entries and she will be using my email address for you to contact her with any information you need. I hope the children all have a wonderfully smooth transition and end to what has been a fabulously creative and FULL term three and I look forward to seeing you at the beginning of our final term together on Tuesday, 13th Oct.
Love,
Sarah M
