Sarah’s Class: Term 3 Week 3

Dear Parents,

What a gorgeous day we had for our Friday “Soup Day”!!! The weather was so kind for this gathering. Thank you, to the soup committee, for organising the event and for ALL the soup makers for our delicious soups and to Preschool for the bread. It was a lovely child-led event encouraging us ALL to get together and share a meal.

As I had previously mentioned, our main focus for the week just behind us, was to complete the “Wild at Art” artwork and written component and I am pleased to say this was achieved. The children all researched their chosen species of endangered flora or fauna and produced an artwork to accompany it. I have uploaded all the pictures taken of their original drawings and paintings, and the rest is in the hands of the judges. I was proud that the children achieved the task, and this week, they will read and share their research and facts found on their flora or fauna.

We will be returning to our Ancient civilizations topic this coming week and some more Maths, which were both on hold for the above said pieces to get completed.

The week after this, on Monday, 17th we have our excursion to the Museum of Sydney. We will be travelling there by car and have 2 x 7 seater vehicles lined up, however, I am still needing 1 more vehicle and a driver to get us there and back. If you could spare time that morning to come with us please let me know asap. I’m looking forward to seeing you all over the next couple of weeks for your parent
teacher interview. If you haven’t already signed up then please do so.
