Preschool News – Week 9 Term 3

Hello everyone,

There’s been a couple of huge and exciting events since last week’s newsletter.

Firstly, Currambena’s big birthday bash on Saturday. It was fantastic to see so many preschool families at the party. Thank you to all the preschool families who assisted with the day. Thank you also to everyone who baked for the cake stall. A particular special shout out to Steph, Hazel’s Mum, who was at school from early Saturday morning setting up for the day and all the work she did prior to the event organising the plant stall. Many thanks to Abi for her performance, Dee for her amazing drumming and the wonderful Dad Band featuring Craig and Ziggy, our very own preschool dads and, of course, our beloved Michael. The children who assisted Lisa and me in the Lemonade stall were fantastic. It was lovely to hear them confidently and enthusiastically spruik the sale of lemonade to everyone. We figure we sold around 200 cups of lemonade. Thank you for the donations for the lemonade stand to everyone who brought lemons in. They were all put to good use.

We had a great time at the whole school excursion to the Australian Museum on Thursday. Many thanks to Zahli’s mum, Jess, Liam’s mum, Zahra, Stevie’s mum, Laura and Kioto’s mum, Stefanie, for assisting us with this. It was a huge event for the preschool children to be involved in. Everyone did an amazing job in staying with the teachers and touring the museum.

This week, we’ll be putting up the Preschool End of Term Cleaning List. For those of you who would like to get ahead with term 4 maintenance hours, please pop your name down next to a job you can help us with.

Lastly, thank you to Neel for the donation of a game and to Raffy in Amelia’s Class for the donation of some toys everyone is enjoying in preschool. Thank you also to all the families that attended maintenance day the weekend before last, apologies for neglecting to mention how wonderful the school looked in preparation for the school’s 55th Birthday.
