Preschool News: Week 4 Term 4

Hello everyone,

Only 5 more preschool sleeps until we hit the big stage of North’s League for our end of year school concert. The children have spent the week practicing the moves they’ve come up with and learning the words to the songs they have chosen. There’s much excitement and anticipation in the preschool air. Everyone’s feeling a little nervous though mostly excited about their upcoming performance.

Those children that attend preschool on a Friday will be catching the bus to North’s to rehearse on the actual stage. For those families with children that don’t attend on a Friday it would be great if you could meet us at the North’s auditorium at around 10:15am next Friday so your child can be part of the rehearsal.

Our week has been busy with rehearsals and preparation for the concert as well as our regular group times, craft, Spanish and exploration of the top and bottom playgrounds. As the weather warms up so has the interest in water play and play in the mud kitchen.

The children are showing lots of interest in scootering and bike riding on the basketball court, watercolour painting indoors and cubby house making with peers and children from primary who are joining us daily to create some amazing cubby spaces. Music also continues to be a big part of our day as does art, drawing, writing, and connecting with one another. We’re delighted to continue to see the children forming new friendships.
