Preschool News: Week 1 Term 3

Hello everyone,

A short entry for the newsletter for a short week.

Firstly, we hope you all had a lovely school holiday, it’s been gorgeous to see so many smiley and eager people return to preschool this week.

The children have hit the ground running this week. Everyone seems ready and raring to get stuck into all things preschool. Our first day back saw us heading up to Lane Cove Library, with everyone enjoying the experience. If any parents would like to join us on our Wednesday visits to the Library or our Monday visits to Kimberley Playground, parents are more than welcome.

Seems we have a preschool band being formed in preschool called “The Silly Band”. Currently they are composing their first song! Stay tuned as I’m sure big things await.

We’ve revisited some of our prior learning we did earlier in the year on problem solving in play and emotions, with a focus on this during group times.

Cutting the fruit and vegetables for the fruit platter has become so popular we are now providing children with the opportunity to cut it up with Lisa. The only problem is only one or two pieces are being brought into preschool a day, so we don’t have enough for the children to cut up. We would really appreciate all families contributing to the shared fruit and veggie platter by bringing in a fruit or vegetable each day their child attends preschool. A big thank you to all the families that have.

Thank you to all the families that assisted us with end of term preschool maintenance. The preschool equipment and room itself were looking amazing when we returned this term!
