Preschool News: Term 3 Week 10
Hello everyone,
As we come to the end of another busy term, it has been lovely to reflect on just how much has happened across preschool. This week has had a relaxed end-of-term feel, with lots of familiar favourite experiences, including handball, music, construction, domino building, home corner play, mud kitchen creations, time in the TBU space, Buddies and plenty of opportunities for children to simply enjoy being together.
A real highlight of the term has been the many opportunities the children have had to connect with the wider Currambena community and beyond, through experiences such as Buddies, School Meeting, Summerhill Day, visits to Kimberley Playground and Lane Cove Library, and special events shared with families. These experiences have supported children to develop independence, strengthen relationships and deepen their sense of belonging within the broader community.
Across the term, we have seen friendships grow, ideas develop and children become increasingly skilled at negotiating play, solving problems and expressing their thoughts and needs. There have been many moments where children have taken the lead, whether through Morning Meetings, choosing activities, contributing to group discussions or helping shape the direction of play and learning.
A very big thank you to everyone who helped us with the end-of-term jobs, particularly the washing, cleaning and sorting. These jobs make such a difference and help us finish the term feeling organised and ready for a fresh start.
Thank you also to all of our families for your support, conversations and contributions throughout the term.
We hope everyone has a restful and enjoyable break, with time to slow down, recharge and enjoy being together. We look forward to reconnecting next term, hearing about everyone’s holidays and seeing where the children’s interests, questions and ideas take us next.
Have a wonderful holiday, everyone!
