Preschool News: Term 1 Week 10

Hello everyone,

It has been another full and fun week in preschool, with children continuing to strengthen their connections and confidence as part of our learning community.

As we come to the end of the term, it has been lovely to reflect on how the children are growing and developing together, building relationships with peers, and learning how to collaborate within a larger group. These are meaningful experiences as they navigate being part of a community beyond home, developing a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.

This week, Lisa, Meeta and I also engaged in professional learning to support our ongoing work in maintaining a safe and responsive environment for all children. This continues to inform and strengthen our practices across the preschool.

A reminder for families with children transitioning to school in 2027, there will be a parent information session about transitioning to school and primary at Currambena on Wednesday 6 May at 10am. Applications for enrolment into primary will also open on this day. We are more than happy to arrange a time to sit down with families to discuss your child’s readiness for school in 2027, and to work in partnership to support this important transition.

As the term ends, we wish all families a restful and peaceful break. We hope you enjoy this time together, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next term. We wish all families a happy, safe and restful holiday period, and a Happy Easter.
