My Time at Currambena by Puffin

The first memory of Preschool is losing my first tooth. It happened when I was on the toilet eating an apple. I felt a hard bit of apple but it wasn’t an apple, it was my tooth! I ran out of the bathroom with my pants down screaming I lost a tooth which is a bit weird, I know, but when you’re in Preschool it’s not weird.
Jess’s class: One of things I remember most is my best friend Zavier. He was a year older than me and if you didn’t know him he was quite a bully to everyone except his friends. Luckily, I was one of his friends. Also that year Josh S. joined the school and I wasn’t really friends with him because I was already kind of in a group. Then the unthinkable happened. Zavier moved up to the next group and so I started hanging out with Josh S. I also became friends with Tt and Henry so consequently that’s where Zavier and I stopped being friends for the meantime. Also that year, just as I was becoming really good friends with Tt and Henry, Henry left the school to go around Australia with his family and didn’t know when he was coming back which was very sad.
Year 1 The craziest year of teachers: So this year started off normal. Finally, Zavier and I were in the same class room and became friends. This is when COVID started and occasionally I would go to school for a day and sometimes Zavier would also be at school and we would just sit on Youtube most of the day. Our teacher this year was called Rosie and by the way she was a G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) teacher and I think I say this for every Year 6 of 2024 who met her. She was definitely the G.O.A.T. She had to leave and I don’t think it was just me who cried on the way home after her last day, or maybe it was just me. The next teacher we had was called Charles who was definitely not as good as Rosie. Then came Vinnie, who sadly is leaving at the end of this year. Also Tt and I had become besties, almost……and then it happened: Henry came back at the end of that year.
Year 2: Our teacher stayed as Vinnie this year and it went quite quickly. I can’t really remember anything except this is the year where the COVID was bad and I was at home most of the time.
Year 3: The worst of the COVID epidemic happened at this time. I was at home all the time, except for the class play, which was bad because Henry was away or sick and Cooper had to take his part and didn’t know the lines. At the end of the year, Henry left for good which was really sad.
Year 4: Leesa was our teacher and it was fun to be back at school hanging out with all my friends again. When Leesa left at the end of Term 3 Vinnie became our teacher.
Year 5: I became best friends with Asher and Til and Eitan. We had great fun at our camps and going to the shops on Fridays. Our class play was Jumanji the Rip Off and it was one of the best. That year we also made the film “It’s Worse than Nuts, It’s Bananas!” and that was kinda fun… even though I hate bananas!!!
Year 6: Canberra was really fun. Being in Year 6 is very fun – Apple Watch drama highlight. Although it’s annoying having to do running writing all the time. Also very sad that I have to leave this year and go to high school grrrr. Thanks Wendy for getting all of us ready for high school!
