My Time at Currambena by Eva, 2025.

My time at Currambena was great fun. When I came to Currambena, I started in kindergarten, since my family was traveling the world before I started at Currambena so I didn’t go to preschool.

In kindergarten, I wasn’t the smartest kid.I would spell square as scr. In year 1, I don’t remember much but that’s where I made my first friend. The way we met is that I asked her why her guinea pig died, and somehow we became friends over that.

In year 2 and 3, I was in Lisa’s class, and I made other friends. At the beginning of the year we had Caetano as a teacher but he left after 3 months. Then we had Jo as a teacher, I don’t know why but I remember before the holidays I told Jo she smelled like lavender. That can be a sweet sentence but also sort of creepy.

In year 4, I was in Sarah’s class. I really enjoyed Sarah’s class and that’s where I went to my first camp, Mowbray Park, which was actually a farm but anyway.

In year 5, I was in Wendy’s class. In year 5 I wasn’t the biggest talker since there were so many year sixes, but some year sixes were kind to me, not all but good enough, and then there were a lot of camps but the last camp of the year was Jervis Bay which is where we do the year 6 ceremony, and on the last day of school I was sick!

And for year six I’m still in Wendy’s class. I became a much bigger talker. And I made a lot of new friends who I care about very much and hope to be good friends with later in life. I learned a lot from Wendy’s class and from every other class. My years in Wendy’s class have gone so fast. All my years in Currambena have gone so fast, but this school stays dear to me in my heart. Thank you Currambena for teaching me!
