Minutes of School Meeting Friday, 26th July, 2024.

CHAIRPEOPLE: Mabel and Eva

1. Acknowledgement of Country.
Mabel and Eva read out an acknowledgement of country and everyone joined in.

2. Jump Rope for Heart by Phoebe.
Jump Rope for Heart will be held this term, so start practising your skipping. This event raises money for the Heart Foundation and helps keep everyone fit by encouraging healthy exercise.

3. Sustaining Currambena by Wendy.
Wendy asked if anyone had any ideas for things that could be changed to make Sustaining better. There are too many people on some jobs and too few on others. There were a couple of suggestions (possibly more people on gardening) and then we voted that Wendy’s group will stay on their usual jobs today but everyone else can choose a job they want to try and give that a go. Classes will sort the lists in the coming week.

4. Soup Day by Wendy.
School meeting voted to have a soup day last term but we didn’t get to have it. The meeting voted that we want to have one before it gets too warm for soup!

5.Guitar and piano lessons by Wendy.
Please check on the timetable on Wendy’s door to make sure your lesson is going to be possible during parent interviews over the next few weeks.

6. Flowers by Emma and Alice.
Please leave the flowers outside Vinnie’s classroom alone.

7. Graffiti by Ash and Eli.
There has been some graffiti done on chairs in Ash and Eli’s classroom. If you did this please stop and also please come and say sorry because it’s damaging classroom furniture.

8. Art Corner by Archana.
Archana has set up an art corner at the back of Vinnie’s room. Please some and use it but make sure you clean up after yourself.

9. Fixing the cubby by Crafty.
Crafty is going to fix the cubby over the slide today and would love some help from some people who are good climbers.

10. Under-glazing by Crafty.
Please come and under-glaze your pots so they can be fired today.

Meeting adjourned. Preschoolers first. Wendy’s class stay to tidy up.
