Meg’s Class Week 1 Term 4

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to school and to the final term of 2025!

This week, we eased back into our school routines after the break. As always, we began by reflecting on our holidays, sharing stories, and writing recounts of our time away. Although I missed the first day back, it was such a joy to return and read the students’ writing. It’s wonderful to see just how far their skills have come over the past few terms! A big thank you to Pepper for taking the class on Tuesday.

In class, we also revisited key concepts in both English and Maths. In Maths, we focused on 2D shapes, categorising them and playing games to better understand their properties.

We’ve also launched our final inquiry unit for the year: Brilliant Bodies! We started by sharing what we already know about the human body and brainstorming the questions we’re curious to explore.

Looking ahead, a reminder that we’ll be heading to the pool next Tuesday. If you’re available and would like to join us on a Tuesday afternoon this term, please email me so I can arrange it in advance.

As we enter what’s expected to be a very hot term, please ensure your child comes to school with a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. We’ll continue to apply sunscreen during breaks to stay sun-safe.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting and fun-filled final term!
