Meg’s Class: Term 2 Week 3

Hi everyone,

In maths this week, we continued exploring 2D shapes and angles. We looked at different ways angles can be represented and had lots of fun measuring and creating our own angles.

In English, we continued our Carving Kingdoms unit with a strong focus on adjectives. The children enjoyed exploring all the different ways popcorn could be described through its smell, appearance, texture, taste, and sound as we munched on it together. We then used this experience to guide our own descriptive writing as we began building elements of the worlds our stories will take place in.

On Tuesday, we enjoyed a trip to the new Galuwa Recreation Centre for sport, where the children practised their pickleball skills. It was wonderful to see how engaged and enthusiastic everyone was! A big thank you to Susan for organising this opportunity. A reminder that we have sport every Tuesday, so please ensure your child wears enclosed sports shoes.

This coming week, we will begin PIP presentations. Presentation times were shared in our class Google Drive early last week and have now also been emailed to all class parents. Please make sure you check the schedule carefully.

• Whole School Wingaru Excursion – Tuesday 26th May
• Class Ball — Friday, 12th June
