Meg’s Class: Term 2 Week 10

Hi everyone,

This week, we extended our investigation of area by learning how to calculate the area of a triangle. We will continue exploring area concepts until the end of the term.

The children have also been working incredibly hard on their stories. This writing unit has really taken off, and it has been wonderful to see how engaged and enthusiastic they have been throughout the process. To ensure every child has the opportunity to develop their story to the best of their ability and produce high-quality work, we have extended the due date until the beginning of next term. It has been fantastic to read their creative ideas, and I am excited to see the finished pieces.

This week also marked the conclusion of our four specialist tennis sessions. While some of the activities were challenging, the children showed excellent perseverance and made great progress in developing their skills across the program.

A reminder that next week, Pepper will be teaching the class while I am away. I have ensured she is fully informed and prepared for the week ahead. Over the past week, we have focused on setting the children up for success so they can confidently finish off their work for the term. If your child is absent or will be arriving late, please email me and CC the administration team so that I have a record and the attendance roll can be
completed accurately each day.
