Jess’s Group Week 6 Term 4

Dear parents,
It was a lot of fun reflecting on our concert from last week. The children were very clear that it was heaps of fun and they felt very proud of themselves. Probably the strongest piece of negative feedback was that they thought it was too short and wanted more time up on stage!

In maths we’ve begun learning to measure mass by practicing hefting and using balance-arm scales. Some children are also beginning to understand the formal units of measurement, grams and kilograms.

In English, we’ve been writing a lot and we’ve reviewed the need to use commas when writing a list. We’ve continued with our weekly grapheme and phoneme study and begun some small assessments to track progress since the beginning of the year.
