Jess and Susan’s Class Week 2 Term 3

Dear parents,

The children clearly enjoyed the return to our regular Lane Cove Library visits on Monday with high levels of ‘nose in books’ for the afternoon. This week we began a new unit of work exploring transport through time and the children co- constructed a time- line of major transport moments like the invention  of the wheel, cars, aeroplanes, submarines and more. We also spent some time  researching newer types of transport from the last 25 years including electric and driverless cars, high speed rail and drone delivery.

We recapped number lines this week and the children did some marvellous creative free writing. The children have been very engaged with their learning so far, indicating we’re going to have a great time this term.
