Jess and Susan group Week 7 Term 4

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to all the children for their marvellous work on their concert piece Friday night. I was so proud of everybody facing their nerves and performing so well!

This week has been a busy one preparing for camp. We’ve met many times to go through practical plans and to share our thoughts and help support one another with questions or worries. I have again been very proud of the way the children have shown insight into their feelings.

On Tuesday, we spent some time in the outdoor pool practising safety jumps. One group then joined the other classes in the leisure pool, while the rest stayed on to do some lap swimming and floating before heading inside for some free play. With everything happening this term, it looks like we have just one swimming session left—on Tuesday, December 9. The children expressed that they would like to celebrate by buying an ice cream at the pool afterwards, so please send a small amount of money with them.

On Thursday, we continued our work on the time topic in maths, practised our cursive handwriting, and carried on with PIPs. We have one more PIP session before our presentations on Monday, December 15, starting at 1:15pm. Most of the children have finished, or are close to finishing, their content and are now polishing their slide transitions and visuals.

Have a great pre-camp weekend!
