Festival of What Matters
Congratulations to all the children and to our wonderful teachers for the amazing night on Friday. What wonderful enthusiasm for “What Matters” and in so many different forms! Posters, models, displays, brochures, games, songs, stalls – such abundant evidence of the children’s learning and achievements this term. Thank you to all who braved the wintery weather to come along and join in the fun. Thanks to everyone for bringing dinner and special thanks to the team of volunteers who helped set up and pack away at the end of the night, with special mention of Steph (Hazel and Ash) for organising the volunteers and untangling the rest of the fairy lights! We’re looking forward to seeing the words of the songs the children wrote in the Newsletter in coming weeks.
And just a reminder, if you filmed children singing or presenting their creations, only share within the Currambena community please.
Maintenance Hours
As the end of term rapidly approaches, this is the last chance to log your maintenance hours for this term!
Bon Voyage Amelia!
At the end of the week, we must say goodbye to Amelia for the rest of the year. Just a little note of appreciation and love to her, and to wish her all the very best on her overseas adventure. We look forward to hearing all about it upon her return in 2027. Bring on the new adventure here with Faith!!
Council Membership – Looking ahead to the AGM
With our Annual General Meeting coming up at the end of May, we would like to invite expressions of interest from community members who may be interested in joining Council.
There will be a number of positions becoming available, and we warmly encourage anyone with an interest in the governance and ongoing stewardship of Currambena to consider being involved.
If you would like to learn more, please speak with a current Council member or a member of staff. We will be very happy to have a conversation with you. Nominations must be received at least one week before the AGM which is planned for 28th May.
Community Camp
As you all know, the whole community camp, organised by Farzad, is happening during the school holidays. Hoping for fine weather and lots of fun for all attending!

Huge thanks to everyone who has helped us at school in any way this term, from washing classroom towels to helping with swimming to working in the playground or in the school library on Maintenance Days. We are so lucky to have such a strong community and, of course, it’s the children who benefit most strongly from this!
The last day of term is Thursday 2nd April. Teachers and other staff will be in and out over the break and our Coordinating Day is Monday 20th April when all teachers meet to plan for the term. TBU is available that day. Term 2 begins on 21st April for children.

Playgroup Wednesday Morning starting Term 2
Playgroup will be back next term!
Our Currambena Playgroup is back for the year. Please spread the word to friends and anyone who might be interested in learning more about Currambena.
Come along with your little ones for a cuppa and some fun activities for the kids. We’ll be set up inside St Elmo’s and on the basketball court (when the weather is nice).
Time: 9.30–11.00am

Please bring a gold coin donation if you can to help contribute to resources. We’d love to see you there!
Lost Property – Friendly reminder
As we near the end of Term 1, please remember to check lost property for any missing items. At the end of the day on Wednesday 1 April, second last day of the term, the remaining items will be taken to be recycled or donated.
Where is lost property stored? In case you are wondering, the clothes rack and baskets are located outside the front of Joanna’s classroom.
