For the Whole School: Term 3 Week 3

In a very full week, highlights were our performance in the Plaza for Lane Cove Council’s Hello Lane Cove event and Soup Day, organised by Jess’ group.

Thirty children, from every group except preschool, walked up to the plaza on Wednesday to sing “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars. The children were wonderful and sang beautifully! Special thanks to Harriet, Lucia and Frida for playing guitar and to Jojo and Hazel who confidently took to the microphone to introduce us! Thank you to all the singers who gave up lunchtimes and before school playtime to practice and also thanks to the parents who came up to support us! A very special event.

Soup Day has been planned for weeks and we were lucky to have a gorgeous sunny day for it on Friday. There’s something very special about everyone sharing a meal together and the three soups were very much enjoyed by everyone! Congratulations to the cooks and thank you to preschool for contributing all the bread!

Another highlight was hearing Grace, Ayaan, Eli, Aidan and Ash speak with great confidence to the group of prospective parents who came to Information Morning on Wednesday. So many visitors to Currambena give feedback that the confidence and communication skills of our children are so impressive!

We said a sad farewell to Linzi on Thursday and Wendy P is temporarily taking over coordinating maintenance until a new person is found for this role. Please email Wendy with any questions or ideas. Anyone interested in applying for this role, please click the link to the relevant Seek ad:
