Faith’s Class: Term 2 Week 10
We made it to the end of the penultimate week!
This week in English, we have begun the important process of editing and revising our narrative writing. We have been learning how to carefully check and improve our work by correcting spelling, grammar and punctuation. It has been wonderful to see our stories really coming together, with lots of weird and wonderful narratives that are entertaining and beautifully written.
Tuesday we wrapped up our Tennis lessons. The Chatterboxes got to play a lot of fun games that used all the skills they have built up over the past few weeks. Next week we will be having sport at school and we will be playing lots of different outdoor games (weather pending) to finish off the term.
As part of our ‘Bright Lights, Big Sounds’ and Maths crossover, we finally had a few sunny days to set up our sundial. We placed it in a sunny spot in the garden near the front fence and basketball fence, and we have been checking it at different “o’clock” times to see if we positioned our numbers correctly. We are hoping for more sunshine next week so we can continue observing and testing our sundial in the morning.
On Thursday, the Chatterboxes attended the Children’s Voices for Reconciliation event at Lane Cove Public School. They were wonderful and respectful audience members during all the performances. We also had some of our own Chatterboxes performing! A big congratulations to Oli, Benji, Hazel and June, who sang beautifully on stage.
Next week will be a big and exciting final week of term, with Summerhill Day on Wednesday and our Christmas in July celebration on Friday!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Faith x
