Amelia’s Group Week 3 Term 4

Hi everyone,

Happy week 3! This term is already flying by and it’s a little bit scary with how quickly the school concert date is approaching…

Our rehearsals have been well underway this week, and most of the children have memorised their lines beautifully. We have just about finished blocking each scene and are working hard on organising our transitions which are proving to be challenging with so many of them on stage at once.

We also finished up our brilliant bodies unit of work by returning to the task we originally set the children at the beginning of term 3, where they had to label a human body with as much information, description or features as they could. This time, the children completed the same task except with a focus on the internal features of the body that we have learnt over the course of the term, and worked on large life-size (Amelia-sized) outlines of a body in groups. It is always important to see the progression of learning from the children and for them to reflect on their own development and understanding.

Just a reminder that next week it is our turn to go to the Lane Cove Library on Monday afternoon, so please make sure you pack any books that need to be returned.
