Amelia’s Class Week 9 Term 1
Hi everyone,
We are almost at the end of term with the last week in our sights! I hope you all have some lovely holidays or short trips planned for the Easter long weekend.
This week we started to wrap up some of our key units of work. With Amanda, the group looked deeper into centimetres and practiced measuring lengths using 30 centimetre rulers. We will practice working with centimetres more next week and then that will be our work on measurement done!
The elders presented their PIPs to the class group on Thursday as well. A huge congratulations to all of them for completing their first Personal Interest Project! It is always so wonderful for the children to feel that sense of accomplishment and proudly show off their hard work from a whole term of dedication. Thank you again to Archana for running the PIP sessions and supporting the group so beautifully. Well done!
We have also started to wrap up our unit on Rad Reptiles. The children started to design their own reptile using their knowledge of the key features that we have learnt about over the term. Next week, using the recycled materials some of you have brought in, the children will craft their made-up reptiles and present them to the group. If you have more recycled materials at home, please bring them in!
