Hi Everyone,
Baxter and Jacobson (our architects) have now met with the 2 construction companies with the lowest tenders. They have talked through some cost savings options which include design modifications.
We are meeting with them tomorrow to discuss these options – so hopefully there will be more details next week.
In relation to the NSP grant money we are in the process of submitting a DA with Lane Cove Council for the solar panels on the heritage building and the skylights for Wendy and Olivia’s classroom.
Maintenance Job
We really need someone to take on the job of putting out and bringing in the bins for this term. It’s a simple way to tick of ½ hour maintenance each week! They need to be put on the curb every Wednesday afternoon and brought back in on Thursday morning – easy.

Vacation Care
Thank you to everyone who supported vacation care these last holidays. Once again it went really well and the children had lots of fun. Thank you to Michael who worked wonderfully every day and to Celia, both providing great care for our children.
With the help of volunteer parents who came in the mornings, we had 2 adults on all day. This enabled us to turn a small profit, without the volunteers help we would have been unable to cover standing costs – so a big big thank you to Tony, Helen and Kasia.

Casp…. Term 3 Week 10
CASP
We are nearing the end of term and starting to think about the holidays and next term.
Thursday has gradually become more and more popular and is now almost too busy. We love that CASP is so popular but wonder if children who don’t have to come to CASP on Thursday, if they could choose another day to come. This would allow the CASP staff to provide adequate supervision and also for children to continue to come at short notice to CASP on all school days.

There is a sheet with the CASP sign in folder where you can indicate your permanent days for term 4 and ask that you fill it in by the end of week 1 in term 4.
Amba is running holiday care again this holidays and there are sheets on the main notice board where you can write your child’s name for these days.
Similarly the first Monday for term 4 is Coordination Day for the teachers but CASP will be running on that day from 8:30 to 6:30 if you need it.
We are pleased to have Celia join our staff this term. Celia is studying education at Sydney University and has settled into Currambena and CASP very quickly.

Vacation Care for the October Holidays!!
Hooray!! It’s been confirmed – we will be having vacation care in the 2nd week of the holidays. The building work will now take place after these holidays .So…….
Here are the dates :-
Tuesday Oct 6th Wednesday Oct 7th Thursday Oct 8th
Tuesday Oct 13th Wednesday Oct 14th Thursday Oct 15th
9.00am – 6.00pm (not 6.30) Cost :- $45 per day
There will be fruit time at 2.30pm and bread time of course, at 4.00pm. Please sign the sheets on the noticeboard. I am also looking for a few volunteer parents to help in the mornings from 9 – 1pm. Please let me know if you can help.
