Hi everyone,
First of all, apologies for our lack of communication last week. We decided to take advantage of the good weather while it was here and went on a trek to Tambourine Bay. It was well worth the last minute madness- the variety of environments in that small area is truly astonishing. We were joined by Chris who brought some art supplies so the kids were very busy. We had people on the play equipment, in the creek, drawing with charcoal from the campfires, exploring the mangroves and finding creatures. It was a beautiful and very exciting day.
We are currently looking at volcanos and earthquakes as part of our study of nature, and have built a huge volcano with Chris’ help. If the weather allows, we are looking forward to a huge explosion later this week!
We have a couple of requests- any spare paper for drawing on would be greatly appreciated. Also, we are setting up a painting area so that Preschool will be a little less inundated, and have discovered that yoghurt containers fit perfectly into the easel. We would like as many as possible, on a regular basis, to help reduce the number of paint pots to be cleaned out.
Have a great week,
Jo
