Hi everyone.
Last Wednesday, we were at Mangrove Mountain and the rain was falling! In spite of that, the kids were absolutely wonderful and we had a fantastic camp. Every one of the children participated in every activity and some of the activities were very challenging indeed! They stayed cheerful and co-operative even when the weather was atrocious and we received high praise from the venue manager for our politeness and our cleaning up! I was very proud of them all… and we are all very grateful to Bec, Gamini, Luuk and Willem for staying with us and to Anne, Nick, Lynne, Wayne and Robert for driving us.
Thanks are also due to Eduardo for patching the carpet in our room, to Michael H. for fixing the leaking downpipe outside our door and to Emma for taking the class yesterday while I collected my daughter from the airport after her travels in Nepal. The kids seem to have had a fun day with her and worked hard as well.
Thank you also to all the parents who came to the Parent Meeting last Thursday evening. I hope you all enjoyed the session. I have just one or two NAPLAN letters which need to be signed. Please pop in and ask me for one if you haven’t yet seen it. The points parents wrote about what they hope their child will gain from their Currambena experience by the time they leave and what they have already gained, were very interesting and I hope we will have some posters put together to share some of these with others at the Welcome Breakfast on Friday. Hope you are able to be there.
Have a good week. Love, Wendy
