CASP Term 1 week 1

Welcome back after the summer holidays to a new term of the Currambena After School Program.

CASP runs every day from 2:30 to 6:30.

The afternoon starts with the preschoolers coming up at 2:30 and we usually have a craft or art activity for them to do. Juice, water and fresh fruit is laid out for the children to help themselves to. At 4pm we have bread time which consists of bread or toast with various spreads including cheese, cheese spread, jam and vegemite.
At 5pm everyone helps do a pack up and apart from this the afternoon is fairly unstructured. Children are free to choose to do what they want.

CASP is available on a permanent basis where you book the same day each week for your child, or on a casual basis where you just book in on the morning required. If you want permanent days can you indicate this on the sheet on the table in front of the office. Permanent days are $13 per day. Casual days are $18 per day. For preschoolers picked up by 3:30 there is a short CASP which is $6 per day. If you want permanent days can you please let us know by this Friday 6th February.

Can children new to CASP please fill in a CASP enrolment form?

Our staff this year all worked in CASP last year and are:
Sarah who is a swimming instructor and has completed her degree in education. She is also working as a teaching assistant in Fran’s class.
Emma who has just completed her teaching degree and is also available for babysitting.
Rowena who has just completed her degree in education and has recently returned from overseas.
Colin who has been a Currambena parent for 4 years and has a degree in Steiner Education.

Children and parents are welcome to drop into CASP anytime and say hello.

Looking forward to a great year,
Love Colin, Sarah, Emma and Rowena.

Can you help?
Does anyone have an old manual pottery wheel we could buy/borrow for a special painting project?
