Hello Everyone
It’s the last newsletter and lots of our beautiful children are ready for their next step in life. Thank you for trusting us with your precious children. Each and every child has left a memory and been part of a whole that is greater than us all. It has been an immense privilege and a great joy to have you all as part of our lives. We wish all our preschoolers who are leaving lots of exciting challenges, interesting explorations and diversions, new friendships and remember the heart of preschool goes with you wherever you go.
Wasn’t the afternoon tea so much fun? The children were magnificent and the atmosphere joyous. Thanks to Kim and Julie who helped in preschool on the day. It was wonderful to have your help. Thank you, too, for the BIG surprise – our books written by the children and parents of preschool and put together by Lisa. They are very precious possessions that we will give us much joy and evoke many memories. Thank you all!
We have offered the position of preschool assistant to Gabriella who visited preschool a couple of weeks ago. She is on a meditation retreat without access to a phone until this afternoon and so I have not had her final acceptance. However, before she left she expressed her excitement and joy at the possibility of being offered the job. Gabriella is Mexican, fluent in Spanish and has many other interests and talents.
Finally it is time to say goodbye to our dear Soo JIn. We have loved working with you for the past two years. You have made very close relationships with both children and adults and we will miss all the fun, the creativity, the warm cuddles, the different interests you have brought to us all, the interesting conversations and your genuine love of children. Your creative and kind spirit has left us all with rich memories. We wish you intellectual stimulation, spiritual fulfillment, exciting challenges and much happiness in your next step in life. As we say to the children, carry Currambena in your heart and remember what you learnt at Currambena. We will miss you but look forward to hearing of what you do. Goodbye dear Soo Jin! Keep in touch.
To all our children returning next year – you will be our ‘big kids’ . I wonder what adventures we will have? We will look forward to seeing you on 3rd February 2009 for another exciting year. Thanks, Deb, for making cupcakes on Monday and the baking box is now a work of practical art!! Thanks, too, to everyone who has helped clean up this week and thank you EVERYONE for all the washing, paper cutting, cooking, reading and playing you have done all year. We have loved having your company.
Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone.
Love from
Sue, Chris and Soo Jin
