Hi Everyone! Back into the business of another term! For the next five weeks, our class have an excursion weekly. Here is a list of dates and excursions…
- Friday 31.10.08: Sculptures by the Sea (by bus)
- Friday 7.11.08: Surf Skills at Longreef Beach (WE NEED DRIVERS PLEASE)
- Friday 14.11.08: A visit to Kinma (WE NEED DRIVERS PLEASE)
- Wednesday 19.11 TO 21.11 Class camp to Mowbray Park (DRIVERS PLEASE)
- Thursday 27.11: Surf skills at Longreef (DRIVERS PLEASE)
I know it looks like a lot of drivers but these excursions wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for parent help. Both Surf skills excursions would require children to be driven to Longreef to start at 10.30 and picked up at 1.30. Kinma would need drivers to leave Currambena at 9.45 and leave Kinma by 2.00 ish.
More about Mowbray Park: This year, we will be staying at Mowbray Park (745 Barkers Lodge Road, Picton, 2571) on Wednesday and Thursday nights (19 and 20th November). Cost for all activities (except optional horse riding) will cost $150/child; and for any parents who would like to stay $128 for both nights accommodation and meals. Please let me know by next Wednesday (29th October) if you plan to come as I have to make the final booking as it is only four weeks away. Also please let me know if you can drive there (or/and any other excursions). More info in the weeks to come…
In other news, we are continuing with our topic on environment and are beginning to talk about pollution and human effects on the environment. Projects will take off this week with most children already having some great ideas for their own subjects.
