Preschool Newsletter Term 3 Week 7

Hello Everyone

The excursion to the Aquarium was an interesting, if exhausting, day! We saw amazing sharks, turtles, seals, squid, divers, fairy penguins and tropical fish. Thank you to all the parents who came with us and gave all the children such a good experience. Thanks, Deb and Lachlan, for the jellyfish toys for preschool!

The next focus is the stall to raise money for the Heartland Children’s Academy. This will be held on Wednesday 17th September. Bring in toys and books your children have outgrown or do no longer need, as well as cakes to sell on the day (no nuts, kiwifruit or chocolate please). Thanks to the people who have already brought in stuff.

The concert is on Tuesday 23rd September 2008 at 6.00 pm. It will be held in St Andrew’s Church hall in Longueville. We have been having discussions and practices. Information about costumes will be in the next newsletter.

There is a Cafe this Friday 5th September at 2.30 pm. Please bake for the occasion (no nuts, kiwifruit and chocolate please) and then come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with the Currambena community at 2.30 pm this Friday. Children in CASP will be able to buy an ice block or cake if they have some money with them.

On Monday Libby, Alex’s mum, brought in the ingredients and machines to make pasta with preschool. They made a dough from eggs and flour and then rolled it out ready for cutting in the pasta machine. We ate delicious spaghetti and fettuccine with tomato sauce and cheese. Thanks, Libby!

Thanks to Colin and Hannah for the little wooden chairs.

Love from

Sue, Chris and Soojin.
