Hi everyone.
Many thanks for all the help both parents and children gave us in making the school look so smart for our Board of Studies visitors yesterday. They were very impressed with the school and our children… and the chickens! There is a bit of paperwork to alter but overall we have a good result. Thanks to everyone for the support. Special thanks to Carragh, Pascal and Isla for offering their books for inclusion with the other documentation. They received high praise.
This afternoon we hope to go to the SBS Radio station in Artarmon but I do need two more drivers and we might be a little late back to school. I hope you all received the note home about this yesterday. Apologies for the late notice but the opportunity just came up last week thanks to Elaine, our Scientist in Residence. I hope to hear this morning about driver helpers!
Personal Interest Projects start this week, now that our Canberra project pages are almost finished. I have done a detailed page outlining different levels to aim for in producing this project. Please ask the children to show you these. Projects are due on 29th August.
We are also having some great fun reading poetry at the moment. Please come in and have a look at the illustrated poetry on our front wall, chosen and written out by the children. In Maths, we are revising division and also calculating area and solid volume.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Love, Wendy
