Hello Everyone,
Thank-you to Barry Nissen Brock’s (in Wendy’s class) grandad who has done a superb job restoring the old Currambena sign. We are expecting to hang it on the brick wall up by the top sandpit. Some interesting developments are happening around the school if you haven’t already noticed. Around the back of the double classrooms we have a row of water tanks connected to the top and bottom toilets and under Fran’s class we have large bladder connected to Preschool toilets.
All these tanks will be collecting rainwater which will supply the toilets and are also plumbed to revert to mains water when necessary.
Renovations have started in the double classrooms with a permanent wall erected between the rooms and the timber floor has been sanded and polished in the spare room. More action will be happening this weekend.
The painting of the main building has been completed we are now contemplating what colour to do the front door for that Currambena statement.
The current status on the permanent covered walkway from the office to the preschool area is that we are waiting for materials which should be here very soon. I will be very happy to see our make-shift tarp cover donated to the cubby builders.
